In TikTok, the AI Alive feature emerged, which can animate pictures according to the user’s prompt
In TikTok, an artificial intelligence-based tool, AI Alive, was deployed, which lets you animate images using user prompts. Thus, photos and other pictures become short clips.
AI Alive is accessible from the Story Camera in TikTok. The site notes that the feature uses “smart editing tools that give anyone, regardless of experience, the ability to turn still images into short videos with motion and effects.”
To use the tool, you need to pick a picture and enter a prompt asking to “enliven the photo.” Video generation takes a few minutes, the duration of the video is only a few seconds.
TikTok indicates that it has introduced some video security measures. The service uses moderation technology that checks the uploaded photo and prompt, as well as the videos themselves, before showing them to the user. The platform prevents the creation of content that violates TikTok rules.
The final security check takes place when the user decides to post the generated video. Such content receives a label with a notification that it was created by AI. Videos have built-in metadata according to the C2PA standard.
